Happy Manly New Year!

I wanted to take the time to thank all of our amazing readers and supporters. You guys and your input is what makes me want to write every week. I am excited to announce that there is a ton of new things coming your way. Video blogs and maybe some sponsors!

With the awesome presence of a new year I want to encourage you not to make silly new years resolutions that you are going to forget about in a week but to aim for something higher. This year aim to man up, aim to be a better husband, friend, parent, leader. Take time today to speak with God and telll him that everything is up for grabs, tell him that you want this year to be a year of charachter development. Thank Him for his amazing grace and forgiveness and make the decision in your mind not to get discouraged the times that you fail.

 Last but not least, pick up your bible, find a one year reding plan online or sync it on your tablet and begin to be shaped by his word every day.

I understand you have tried this many times before, I understand it can be very discouraging when you fall behind in your reading, but today is different, today you start with the desire not to fullfill a religious agenda, but with the desire to know more about the amazing God that loves you so desperately.  Set an alarm on your phone to remind you to hit the Bible every day, from there allow this practice to turn in to habit that you enjoy. In the words of one of my wife's mentor "discipline,  desire, delight" thats the evolution of reading your word.
