What your Dad really wants this Sunday.
Last minute gifts that your father will actually love
With that said we find ourselves in the same scenario every year. Fathers day begins to approach and you start to tell your self "I should pick the old man something." Next thing you know it is Sunday and you are stopping by a gas station before the fathers day BBQ and purchasing a pack of Slim Jim's, you say to yourself "Dad will love this!!.....right?". Yea, not so much. How about we do it right this year? Lets use the little time we have left before father's day and get our Padres something amazing.
Due to the fact that this is a last minute list I have decided to limit this list to items from brick and mortar stores and I will do my best to use chain stores that are available in most large cites.
The Dapper Dad
He is always looking sharp, his sleeves are rolled perfectly and his belt always matches his shoes. More important is that his slick outer appearance matches his warm character, show him some love this year and hook him up with this sick watch that is perfect for summer. The brown strap will go perfect with his khaki chinos and it will complement the dark jeans he likes to wear in the weekend.
For only $16.00 bucks you can snatch this awesome gift at your local Target.
The Tactical Father
Schrade SCHF14 Fixed Blade Knife
He is always checking corners and sits at the restaurant ensuring he has a clear view of the entrance. You think he is kind of paranoid, but hey at least you know he cares, and when the zombies show up you are glad that you have him on your phone under "favorites". Show the old man how much you appreciate him by getting this awesome blade, forged out of one solid piece of steel, this full tang blade by Scharade has a masculine distressed look and the awesome kydex sheath offers multiple carry configurations perfect for every day carry. For only $35 bucks you can pick this gift up at an Academy Sports Store near you.
The Nostalgic Padre
He is always talking about the good ol' days and how much fun he used to have with his Atari. You guys went to see "Jurassic World" together and he made sure you knew that he was at the premier when the first Jurassic Park came out. Show him that you appreciate how "vintage" he is and hook him up with this high quality graphic tee. Only $10 bucks at Target.
The Jefe of The Grill
Quest Foldable Charcoal Grill
"Low N' Slow" is his motto and summer is the season that fills him with drive and excitement, no ones preps a steak like him and he can grill chorizo like a master. Show "El Jefe" some love and let him take his passion wherever he goes, never again will he be limited to a big clunky grill after you get him this awesome gift. Get it at Dicks Sporting goods for $25 bucks.
The Cinematic Father
From Die Hard to Gladiator, he has a quote from every movie and for every occasion. You are not sure if he has invested more in to your college education or his home entertainment system. Either way tell him thank you by hooking him up with one of the manliest movie trilogies to have ever been made, he will appreciate the thought and the blue ray will look amazing on his new flat screen. Snatch this up at Target for only $17 bucks.
The Woodsman Patriarch
Gerber Gator Machete Pro
He can start a fire with out matches and some of his best advice was given at the edge of a creek. You still remember when he taught you how to tie a knot and to recognize poison ivy, and you are particularly thank full for the last one. Return some of the love by hooking him up with the ultimate woodsman tool, this tool can do everything, from splitting wood, building shelter and clearing brush. He will gladly add it to the arsenal of knives and hatchets he already owns and he will think of you next time he fends of a bear with it. Pick one up at Academy Sports Store for only $40 bucks.
The Old Man That Can Easily Take You
Jawbone UP Activity Tracker
He is always on the move and even tho he is an old man he refuses to act like it. He runs marathons, swims laps and you are not sure if some of your friends are hitting on him or not. Give him a gift that will let him put numbers to all of that activity and give you the opportunity to show him how to use an app, he might be able to do more pull ups than you but at least you know how to change your phone background. Pick this up at Academy Sports Store for $70 bucks.
